Piano Upcycle -The Bee-ano Chronicles

One of my dreams since arriving in Australia has been to create a beautiful garden feature of an old upright piano. I kept my eye on facebook marketplace for free pianos and was able to find a few. Pianos are an interesting thing in that they are hard to move and unless you take care of them they get rundown. Then what do you do with them? You can’t put a piano in the bin! So people end up giving them away as long as you can collect them yourself. We found two beautiful pianos that had outlived their usefullness to their owners and went to get them with a trailer. Then we had to install them in the garden. I have a vision for the one piano (the Bee-ano) that it will have a bee hotel under the keys and then beautiful flowers that attract bees planted above the bee hotel.
